Christophe REZAI Tenor, Indian harmonium, arrangements, composition and direction
Christophe Rezai is French-Iranian, he was born in 1966 in Toulouse (France). He studied singing and composition both in Toulouse and in Paris. He has been living in Tehran since 1994, where he composes music for the movies, theater plays and TV shows. He records his work in his own recording studio based in Tehran: Dohol Studio. He has founded both the “NOUR Ensemble” and the “Aria Musica” ensemble which is dedicated to baroque music. |

Mostafa MAHMOUDI Kurdish and Persian singer
Mostafa Mahmoudi was born in Mahabad (Iranian Kurdistan) in 1972. He studied singing and the Kurdish repertoire with several masters. He has given concerts in France, Italy and Turkey with different Persian ensembles. Mostafa is one of the founding members of the Nour Ensemble. |

Pierre BARANGER Tenor
Born in Orleans (France) in 1964, Pierre Baranger also teaches flute at the Orleans conservatory of music. Pierre was at the origin of Nour’s adventure in churches of the Iranian Azerbaijan province. |

Pierre-Yves BINARD Baritone and percussions
Born in 1979 in France, Pierre-Yves Binard studied at the Toulouse conservatory of music and now teaches singing together with Jasmin Martorell. He has been a member of Nour since October 2003. The color of his voice and his musical sense bring an essential touch for the interpretation of this music. |

Hamid KHOSROSHAHI Bass
Born in Tehran in 1977, Hamid Khosroshahi gratuated from Tehran musical university. In 2002 he entered the vocal class of the Toulouse conservatory of music where he is still studying. He is also one of the founding members of the Nour ensemble.

Ali BOUSTAN Ud, shouranguiz and Persian vocal
Born in Tehran in 1968, Ali Boustan trained as a graphic designer. He studied setar and Persian music with several master like Hossein Alizadeh. He has participated in numerous concerts. In September 2003, he played in the ensemble of H. Alizadeh with Djivan Gasparyan in Tehran. |

Reza ASGARZADEH Duduk, recorder, baritone and dohol
Born in Tehran in 1968, Reza Asgarzadeh graduated in economy. He studied the recorder, duduk, and percussion as an autodidact. In 2001 he attended the recorder master classes of Professor Pierre Boragno in France. He has recorded the album ALBA and he is in charge of sound recording at Dohol’s studio. |

Saba ALIZADEH Kamantche and vocal
Born in Tehran in 1983, Saba Alizadeh has studied kamantche with masters like Ardeshir Kamkar, Keyhan Kalhor and Said Faradjpouri. He is the youngest member of Nour Ensemble and currently studies photography. |

Ali RAHIMI Daf, tombak and vocal
Born in Tehran in 1979, Ali Rahimi is percussionist for several ensembles of different styles. He won the first prize for the best soloist in an Italian festival in 2001. He has performed in numerous concerts in Great Britain and India. |

Jasmin MARTORELL Vocal advisor
Without Jasmin Martorell nothing would exist. He helps prepare the vocal color of this ensemble composed of singers from different countries. His knowledge enables Nour to bridge the gap between the Iranian and the European vocal techniques. |
